直接熔盐电化学还原固态Tb4O7-Fe2O3制备Tb2Fe17

【摘要】 在CaCl2熔盐中直接电化学还原固态Tb4O7与Fe2O3(Tb:Fe=2:17)的混合粉末,一步制得了金属间化合物Tb2Fe17.结合混合氧化物烧结片在850℃的CaCl2熔盐中3.1V电解不同时间段产物的成分分析探讨了还原机理,Fe2O3优先还原成金属Fe,随后Tb4O7粉末在Fe上还原逐渐生成Tb2Fe17.采用不锈钢筛网电极循环伏安法证明了Tb4O7在Fe上的欠电位还原.

【Abstract】 Tb2Fe17 magnetic intermetallic compound was successfully prepared by direct elec- trochemical reduction of solid pellet of mixed Tb4O7 and Fe2O3 powders (Tb:Fe=2:17) in molten CaCl2 at 850℃.The reduction process was studied through the composition characterization of the products obtained at different electrolysis times.It was found that Fe2O3 was preferentially deoxi- dized to metallic Fe,and then Tb4O7 was reduced assistantly by forming TbFex and finally Tb2Fe17 was obtained with the under-potential reduction of Tb4O7 on iron.This was further confirmed by cyclic-voltammetry measurement of a novel Tb4O7 powder filling stainless steel sieve electrode.
