【Abstract】 The research of automated essay scoring (AES) based on statistics, natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI) receives adequate attention abroad, especially in the U.S.A. One of the systems, E-rater, has been applied in GMAT essay scoring since 1999. Six current AES systems have their own advantages and disadvantages in respect of technology and application. The related research in China, especially the feasibility of the technique applied to Chinese EFL writing and the innovation needed, demand more efforts.更多还原
