【Abstract】 The interesting electro-optical properties of liquid crystals arise from the reorientation of the director,and hence the optic axis,by applied electric fields.The surface stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal(SSFLC) structure unwinds the spontaneous helix,resulting in an electro-optic response with the desirable features of high speed,sharp threshold,and bistability.The dynamic response of molecular orientation and the temperature and pulse shape dependence of switching behavior in ferroelectric liquid crystal are described.The switching speed and energy of the SSFLC are given.更多还原
