野外就地测量便携式NaI(Tl)γ谱仪的初步标定及花岗岩标定台的建立
Calibration of field ORTEC MicroNomad γ-ray spectrometer for establishing a granite calibration block
【摘要】 高效率低分辨率的便携式NaI(T1)γ谱仪野外就地测量是释光、电子自旋共振测年中环境剂量率测量的重要方法之一,其标定是一项重要的基础性工作。我们利用英国牛津大学的混凝土标定台对本实验室的ORTEC MicroNomad型NaI(T1)γ谱仪进行了标定,初步建立了几何形状、材料成分和密度与野外测量条件相似的NaI(T1)γ谱仪花岗岩标定台,并通过不同方法测量得到了本标定台的放射性元素含量。
【Abstract】 Portable field NaI(Tl) γ-ray spectrometer is an important tool for determining potassium, uranium and thorium contents in sediments. The results depend on accuracy of the calibration and the extent to which the measur- ing conditions resemble those adopted during calibration. e.g. geometry, background radiation, components and den- sities of materials, etc. Calibration of a field ORTEC MicroNomad NaI(Tl) γ-ray spectrometer, in auger hole geome- try was done using the Oxford calibration blocks with known contents of radioisotopes of K, U and Th. A granite block similar to Heidelberg’s calibration block was set up at SKLED. It can be used as a calibration block to check the γ-ray spectrometer. Contents of K, U and Th of the granite block were analyzed using different methods.
