左手介质在增强电偶极子辐射功率上的应用
Application of left hand materials in increesing power radiated by electric dipole antenna
【摘要】 基于严格的电磁场理论,给出了左手介质壳包围电偶极子后的辐射场本征函数级数解。应用该级数解求解出该情况下的辐射功率,并与自由空间中电偶极子辐射场进行了比较,指出了左手介质在增强电偶极子辐射功率上的应用,并运用微波电路理论对该特性进行了分析验证。
【Abstract】 Based on the rigorous electromagnetic fields theory,the eigenfunction solutions of radiation fields for an electric dipole antenna with a shell of left hand material(LHM)are given in this paper.The radiation power is calculated through the eigenfunction solutions.Compared with the radiation fields of free space,the calculated results show that the application of left hand material can increase the radiated power gain.This characteristic for LHM was also validated by the microwave circuit theory.
