【Abstract】 This paper, by reviewing the interrelevance of the two turns of western literary theory in the 20th century, finds that the heated interest in textual factors such as form, structure, and signs displays a historical and logical coherence. Such coherence originate from ontological interrelevance of literature and people whose power inevitably lead to the historic dialectic movements. This shows that cultural studies, in a deeper sense, are linked with literary studies, and belong to historic rhetoric which focus on textuality while keeping culture in view.更多还原
