【Abstract】 This paper analyzes the difficulties in translating Truyen Kieu,a masterpiece of Vietnamese classical literature written by the outstanding poet Nguyen Du,who lived from the late 18th century to early 19th century.It points out the problems in two Chinese versions and proposes some of the prerequisites for the translators in the hope that someday an idean Chinese version of Truyen Kieu will come into being.更多还原
