无水氯化镧铈晶体的制备(英文)
PREPARATION OF ANHYDROUS LANTHANUM CERIUM CHLORIDE CRYSTAL
【摘要】 用氯化铵氯化法制备出高纯无水氯化镧(铈)粉料,并以其为原料,用石英坩埚下降法生长出无色透明的掺3价铈的氯化镧(LaCl3:Ce)晶体。经测试,LaCl3:Ce样品的透过率达到80%,用137Cs发射源发射的γ射线激发LaCl3:Ce样品,得到的能量分辨率约为3.5%,晶体的光产额约为(6 510±50)photon-electrons/MeV,与碘化钠(铊)晶体(NaI:Tl)相当。晶体的光学性能和闪烁性能表明:采用氯化铵氯化法制备的无水氯化镧(铈)粉料可直接用于晶体生长,而且生长出了高质量的LaCl:Ce晶体。
【Abstract】 Highly pure and anhydrous lanthanum cerium chloride powders were prepared by the ammonium chloride chlorination process.Colorless and transparent lanthanum chloride crystals doped with Ce3+(LaCl3:Ce) were grown from the melt of the powders in sealed fused-silica crucibles by the Bridgman technique.The transmittance of the LaCl3:Ce crystal sample reaches as high as 80%;its energy resolution is 3.5% under γ-ray excitation of 137Cs radioactive source,and its light yield is about(6 510±50) photon-electrons/ MeV,approximately equal to that of NaI:Tl crystal.These data on its optical and scintillation properties show that the powder ob-tained by this process can be used as a raw material for growing LaCl3:Ce crystal with high quality.
