【Abstract】 This paper introduced the passive safety system design features of AP1000 and the NRC’s position for simplifying emergency planning for Advanced Light Water Reactor,discussed the issues of simplification of emergency planning aiming at the major characteristics of accident prevention and mitigation for AP1000,and addressed three major issues that need to be concerned:(1) mitigating the urgency on response,(2) adequately reducing the emergency planning zones, and(3) modifying the off-site emergency countermeasures.更多还原
