60 dB动态范围的自动增益控制电路设计
Design of a 60 dB Dynamic Range Automatic Gain Control Circuit
【摘要】 设计了一种工作频率在15.42 MHz应用于GPS射频接收芯片中的自动增益控制(AGC)电路,该电路与传统AGC结构相比,不需要峰值检测电路,也不需要环路滤波器,大大简化了设计复杂度,同时也使电路性能受工艺及温度变化的影响大大减小了,因此适用于低功耗、高集成的GPS射频通信系统中。电路设计采用TSMC 0.25 μm CMOS工艺,电源电压2.5 V,经过流片验证,其动态范围可达60 dB,工作频率范围为[3.8 MHz,40 MHz],总功耗5 mW.
【Abstract】 This paper presents a 15.42 MHz automatic gain control circuit which is applied to the GPS receiver. Compared to a traditional AGC, it does not require a detector nor a loop filter, which makes the design more simplified .Meanwhile,the circuit’s performance is immune to the process and temperature variation.The proposed architecture is well suited for low-power high-integrated GPS communications. The circuit was fabricated using TSMC 0.25 μm CMOS process, and results show that the dynamic gain range is 60 dB, the frequency range is [3.8 MHz,40 MHz] and the power consumption is 5 mW at 2.5 V supply voltage.
