【Abstract】 This paper reports a new species of the genus Epacromiacris is (Orthoptera, Acridoidea) collected from Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. All the type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.Epacromiacris virgatus sp. nov.(Figs.1-10) This new species is allied to Epacromiacris javana Willemse, but can be distinguished from the latter by: 1) frontal ridge with a longitudinal carina above the median ocellus; 2) angle-curved lateral keels of pronotum; 3) length of lower spur of hind tibia 1.5 times that of upper spur; 4) supra anal-plate triangular, apex obtusely rounded; 5) antennae brown, tail end black brown, without colorful rings; 6) with distinct milk-white stripe in basic part of costal area of the fore-wing; 7) hind tibia yellowish brown. Length of body: ♂15-16?mm, ♀17.0-18.5?mm. Length of fore wing:♂13-14?mm, ♀15-16?mm. Length of hind femur:♂ 9.5-10.0?mm, ♀11-13?mm. Holotype ♂, Ankang City(32°43′N, 109°04′E), Shaanxi, 270?m, 15 Sep. 2007, collected by MENG Jiang-Hong. Paratypes: 18 ♂♂ ,20♀♀, same date as holotype. Etymology. The specific name is from the character: costal area of fore-wing with a milk-white stripe. Virgatus (Latin) means striped.更多还原
