【Abstract】 As a means of human thinking and cognition,metaphor is closely connected with vocabulary.This article introduces the theory of metaphor and vocabulary acquisition and puts forward that teaching should base on it.It argues that emphasis should be laid on basic vocabulary and their metaphorical meaning.With metaphor we can better understand polysemy and explore its semantic links between lexical items.With metaphorical thinking,we focus on the cultural differences between Chinese and western words.更多还原
