【Abstract】 Translating is one of the most important English skills for students at higher vocational colleges.Based on the results of a questionnaire,this paper briefly analyzes the present state of translating ability of college students at higher vocational colleges,and advances some effective methods of improving students’ translating ability,such as: by teaching them translating theory,translating skills and texture theory,by comparing cultural differences,by setting up optional courses,by organizing them to watch TV programs and emphasizing extra-curricular reading.更多还原
