【Abstract】 To investigate the relationship between complement regulatory proteins and diabetic nephropathy, the expressions of CD55, CD59 on circulating leukocytes were examined in 33 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and in 24 healthy volunteers served as controls. The expressions of CD55, CD59 in type 2 diabetics were down-regulated. The diabetic course and mean fluorescence intensity of CD55-positive monocytes were the independent predictors of urine albumin excretion rate.
