【Abstract】 Thematic roles reveal the semantic relation between words assigned by their verbs and are proved to be the interface between semantics and syntax.In contrast with thematic roles,participants are an essential part of the system of transitivity which characterizes the functional linguistics.The paper analyzes their respective theoretical foundations and explore the connection between them in terms of the frame of theory,classification of roles and the relations between roles.更多还原
