关于有机化合物立体异构体数目的探讨
The discussion about the number of organic compounds’ stereoisomers
【摘要】 关于有机化合物立体异构体的数目问题,人们通常认为:当化合物的分子中含有n个不同的手性碳原子时,该分子具有2n个立体异构体.这种说法普遍适用,但对于结构复杂的有机化合物则略显不妥.笔者认为:当化合物仅由手性碳原子的存在而导致立体异构时,其立体异构体的数目为2n个,但当分子中同时含有n个不同的手性碳原子和其他可以产生立体异构的因素时,其立体异构体数目则多于2n个,本文通过一些具体实例阐述了该观点.
【Abstract】 Considering the number of the organic compounds’ stereoisomers, it is often believed that a molecule with n different chiral carbon atoms has 2n stereoisomers. This viewpoint is widely applied but not suitable for the organic compounds with complex structures. The author believes that the number of stereoisomers is 2n when the stereoisomerism is only caused by chiral carbon atoms ,but it is more than 2n when both chiral carbon atoms and other elements are included in the molecule. Some illustrations are proposed in this paper.
