【Abstract】 Since the modern time of Shanxi province, both Protestants and Catholic utilized educational activities as a way of missionary work. They originated a number of modern church schools. However, their activities were not the same because of their different ideologies, historical experiences and respective values on education. In the aspects of time, quality and quantity, the advantages of Protestant’s schools were outstanding. They were the main component of church schools in Shanxi .To a great extent, the protestant’s work paved the road toward a modern education for Shanxi.更多还原
