【Abstract】 A new species i.e.Atherigona ateripraepeda sp.nov.belonging to Atherigoninae is described in the present paper.The type specimens are kept in the Chengdu Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention.Atherigona ateripraepeda sp.nov.(Figs.1-6)Male:Body 4.0 mm.The new species belonging to subg.Acritochaeta Grimshaw,1901,closely related to Atherigona atritergita Fan,1988 from Tibet,but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters:The fore femurand tibia black wholly,but the latter apical part of femur and basal half of tibia yellow;hind femur yellow wholly,but the latter black on apical half;abdominal 1st and 2nd syntergite without a broad postmarginal bard,but the latter with one;5th tergite of female black wholly,but the latter with a pair of black spots.Female:Body 3.5-4.0 mm.Abdomen:Conic-sharp formed in dorsal view;Yellowish ground color,3rd,4th-5th tergites dark black on dorsal,with no spots,the former of both brown yellow on postmargins;6th tergite divided to a pair sclerites,its basal half broad,apical half fined and embrace-like from together,7th tergite divided a pair sclerites in long strip;spermatheca 3.Holotype:♂,Penzhou county(Mt,Longmenshan,1 700 m;31°18’N,103°12’E),Sichuan Prov.,June 18,2006,collected by He Jian-Han;paratypes 2♂♂,same as holotype;2♀♀,Aug.10,1982;2♀♀,Sept.1,1983;2♀♀,Oct.8,1983;above collected by Feng Yan,from Ya’an county(Nanjiao,600 m;29°59’N,102°57’E),Sichuan Prov.更多还原
