【Abstract】 The title compound,N,N′-dicarboxymethyl-2-methylbenzimidazole,was synthesized from the starting material of 2-methylbenzimidazole.Its structure was detemined by IR,1H NMR,elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction.X-ray analysis revealed that one-dimensional polymeric structures in the solid state were formed by intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the title compounds,and these polymers were further extended into two-dimensional structure by π-π stacking interaction between benzimidazole rings.The crystal was monoclinic system with space group P21/c,Mr:568.54,a=19.821(3),b=7.4501(11),c=20.093(3),β=116.479(3)°,V=2655.8(3)3,z=4,Dc=1.422mg·m-3,F(000)=1200,R=0.0675,wR=0.2187.更多还原
