新型毫米波功率合成器设计
Design of New Millimeter-wave Power Combiner
【摘要】 提出一种基于双对极鳍线-微带过渡的Ka频段1×2路波导基功率合成器,借助谱域法完成最佳渐变鳍线阵设计。在29~39GHz范围内实测背对背插损小于0.9dB,回波损耗优于12.0dB。通过在WR-28波导内垂直迭放两块电路板的办法将两路合成引伸至四路合成,组合四块GaAs MMIC功率单片的2×2功率放大模块,在32.0~36.0GHz频带内实测的最大饱和输出功率为6W,合成效率约为82%,功率相加效率为21%,验证了所提方案的有效性和可行性。
【Abstract】 In this paper, a waveguide-based 1×2 power-combining structure at Ka-band using double antipodal finline-to-microstrip transitions is proposed, and the optimal tapers are analyzed by using spectral domain method. A very low back-to-back insertion loss of 0.9 dB and return loss better than 12.0 dB are obtained from the structure in 29-39 GHz. The two-way power combining approach was extended to four-way by vertical stacking inside the WR-28 waveguide. Using 4 monolithic-microwave integrated-circuit (MMIC) power amplifiers, a maximum of 6-W saturated-output power is achieved from the combiner at the operation band of chips. 82% of the average combining-efficiency and 21% of the power added efficiency are estimated, separately. Validity and feasibility of the proposed approach have been demonstrated by the measured results.
