Progresses in Study on Radioactive Waste Minimization
【Abstract】 Radioactive waste minimization was defined as that waste volume and activity could be reduced to the level as low as reasonably achievable.Concept of waste minimization was first proposed by International Atomic Energy Agency in 1992,since then its contents and objectives have been undergoing continuous evolvement. This paper summarized a series of technical papers and reports on radioactive waste minimization,as published by the International Atomic Energy Agency.Legal foundations of radioactive waste minimization were discussed through the international conventions and national laws and regulations, Management and technical progresses on radioactive waste minimization were reviewed in final.
