To understand the physiological mechanisms for the different tolerance of tropical forages and temperate forages to temperature stresses, the seasonal changes in antioxidant systems, soluble sugars and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters in leaves of Stylosanthes guianensis and Medicago sativa L. were comparatively investigated.
