【Abstract】 This paper is a review of the compilation of A Commercial Press Dictionary for Learners of Chinese as a Foreign Language. It gives an account of our considerations on the target, principles and methods to compile a dictionary of this kind. As we have noticed the fact that dictionaries for foreign learners of Chinese are usually difficult to consult, difficult to understand and, consequently, difficult to learn Chinese from it, we made efforts to make the dictionary we are compiling easy to consult, easy to understand and beneficial to the users to learn Chinese. To achieve this end, we have some considerations on the principles of writing definitions, determining character and word entries, giving illustrations and specifying parts of speech of the entries.更多还原
