【摘要】 《西厢记》中的老夫人一直被认为是个自私、虚伪、冷酷、出尔反尔的贵妇人,她对女儿莺莺与张生的婚事一再阻挠、再三赖婚。其赖婚的原因是出于门第观念、为维护相国家谱、不招白衣女婿等。笔者认为,老夫人赖婚的根本原因是她对张生不信任,是为女儿一生的幸福考虑以及对亡夫及侄儿的感情等。老夫人严厉冷酷的外表下面包含的是一颗慈母的心。更多还原

【Abstract】 Lao Furen in《XI XIANG JI》has always been regarded as a lady who was selfish, hypocritical, cold, and always went back on her words. She tried every means to stop her daughter-Yingying from marrying Zhang Sheng. The reason of her doing so, as many people believe, was because of her belief of family status, her strong desire to keep her ancestor’s (once a prime minister) glorious tradition, and her objection to her daughter’s love with an ordinary man and so on. The author of this paper, however, believes that what she did was because she didn’t trust Zhang Sheng and she loved her deceased husband and her nephew. What she did was for her daughter’s lifetime happiness. Lao furen wass a warm and kind mother though she seemed to be severe and cold.更多还原
