光相干域偏振仪检偏镜对轴角度的精确测算方法

【摘要】 检偏镜与其输入端光纤主轴45°对轴误差是光相干域偏振仪主要误差源之一.通常通过旋转检偏镜,根据光强变化,找到光纤主轴,再调整检偏镜使之与光纤主轴成45°对轴。但缺少相应的评定手段来评价其最终对轴效果。从理论上推导了检偏镜检偏角与干涉信号的关系,得到:当干涉仪两臂延迟等于第一段输入光纤的快慢轴时差时,所对应的干涉峰值强度与检偏镜对轴角度有关,峰值强度越小对轴角越接近45°。通过实验进一步验证了该结论的正确性。从而提供了一种检偏镜对轴角度的精确测算方法,基于该方法还可实现检偏精确对轴的反馈控制。

【Abstract】 The angle between analyzer and optical fiber principal axes should be 45~,which is one of the main error sources for the Optical Coherence Domain Polarimetry (OCDP).Usually,the alignment is completed by rotating the analyzer,getting the principal axes according to intensity variety,and then adjusting the angle in the 45~ direction.But there is no more means to evaluate the alignment accuracy.In this paper,the final interference signal was derived considering the influence of analyzer angle.The result shows that:when the time delays of two beams equal the delay of the first fiber’s fast and slow axes,if the concerned interference peak value reach zero,the alignment angle is exactly 45°.The experimental results were coincident with the theory conclusion.In addition,we present a precise method to evaluate the analyzer angle,based on this,the feedback control can be easily introduced into analyzer alignment.
