基于FPGA的JPEG-LS无损压缩算法的实现
Implementation of JPEG-LS Lossless Image Compression Algorithm Using a Field Programmable Gate Array
【摘要】 介绍了JPEG-LS无损压缩算法的基本原理与流程,针对该算法提出了使用VHDL语言编程的基于FPGA的系统结构,并在QuartusⅡ平台上实现了编码器。该硬件实现的编码器具有快速处理高分辨率图像的能力。通过对多种图像的仿真实验,证明了其在不同应用中的可靠性和有效性。
【Abstract】 A hardware implementation of JPEG-LS lossless image compression algorithm using VHDL is proposed and the schematic of a JPEG-LS codec was generated using the QuartusII. Hardware implementation of the proposed solution on an FPGA allows for fast processing of large image volumes.simulation results for lossless compression of various image types are presented in order to explore the algorithm’s effectiveness for a number of applications.
