【Abstract】 The purpose of the paper is to introduce Smart Growth in America and its measurements which make Smart Growth true, including laws and policy incentives, and hope to provide reference for land use planning in China. Method of documentation was employed. The results indicate that the idea of land use planning should be changed according to Smart Growth, the technological measurement of UGB should be applied, the monitoring and controlling system of land use should be established, and land development rights should be legislated and transferable in China.更多还原
