【Abstract】 South-Pearl was playing a decisive role in our country′s pearl industry. In this paper, a detailed discussion was made to analyze the present problems of the South-Pearls concerning the method of dense culturing, the degradation of the seed-pearls, the breeding pools, the product quality and the processing technology and the decrease in the economic returns, based on the analysis of what were achieved in the industry.
