【Abstract】 This paper, based on the changes of people’s general cognition of translation studies, divides the process of the formation of translation studies into four stages: originating initial stage, primary/ transition stage, developed/scientific study stage and mature stage, discusses each of them, briefly enumerates the representative figures and their viewpoints at each stage in chronological order, mentions the relevant journals published in some countries and majors offered in some universities and colleges, and pro vides the readers with a general understanding of the process of the formation of translation studies.更多还原
