【Abstract】 Objective To study the percentage of the death in the five years and evaluate the quality of the data of follow up in order to increase the rate of follow up. Methods We calculated the rate of follow up of the patients with esophageal cancer after operation, percentage of death, and the rate of survival in five years from 1966-1999, and we found the reasonable rate of survival in five years referencing the literature.
