【Abstract】 With the further application of molecular genetic marker to molecular systematics, rRNA genes have been widely used in the molecular systematics of marine animals, because of their special composition structure and evolution ways. This paper provides a detail introduction on the composition and features of rRNA genes, and their application in the phylogeny studies, taxonomy and identification of marine animals.
