【Abstract】 Zheng He is the greatest navigator in history and made great contribution to the history of navigation of the world. One important reason for his achievements is his multi-cultural concept and his ability to take advantage of various cultures in his sea voyages. Zhang He respects Confucianism, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism and the Sea. Zhang He’s multi-cultural concept falls into three levels as follows: its core is the cultural concept of Confucianism which is the spiritual pillar of his life-long devotion to the king, the country and the people; its important content is his cultural and religious concept and the guarantee for fulfilling his mission, and his cultural concept of the sea is the spot-light which is ahead of his time and the wealth left to the coming generations.
