【Abstract】 Novel experimental methods recently developed to characterize mechanical properties of hard thin films, including their principles, differences and advantages, were described in detail. A new techniques was also included such as the coating impact test which was used to characterize the fatigue strength , to analysis the failure mechanisms of the coating and substrate system. In this context it was necessary to discuss the feasibility of setting up Chinese Standardization of the characterization methods.更多还原
