【Abstract】 With the increasing use of high strength and toughness steels in oil a nd gas pipelines, the parameter of the crack toughness of material is continuous ly developing, so do the test technique of fracture toughness. In this paper, se veral small specimens to predict the toughness of pipeline steels and their shor tages were discussed.
