【Abstract】 Tanbaramdan is an academic advisor of graduate students specializing in Tibetan Traditional Paintings of School of Art at Tibet University. He is a distinguished Tibetan painter who was born into a prominent painting family. His grandfather, who was a famous palace painter of the thirteenth’s Dalai Lama, carried out the main painting works of Potala Palace and all the work of mural paintings in Chasal Podrang of Norbu Lingkar. Professor Tanbaramdan’s father was an official designer of Kashg Government and designed many important works such as the Golden Throne of New Palace of Norbu Lingkar, adornment of Thirteenth’s Dailai Lama’s memorial tablet and paper currency of one hundred and twenty-five yuan.
