【Abstract】 YUCHUXINZHI, edited by Zhang Chao, an intellectual in Qing dynasty, has always been regarded as a collection of short stories. But, as far as the content is concerned, it will be more proper to take it as an intellectuals diary which makes it more lifelike than a common collection of stories. It becomes a very important material through which we can know Ming Qing intellectuals thoughts, characteristics and mental states.
