【Abstract】 Yan Su,an official,scientist,poet and painter under the reign of Emperor Renzong in Song Dynasty,spent most time on his official responsibilities and little time on scientific research.Though scientific research was his pastime hobby,he attached great importance to precision and practical applicability of research fruits.He wrote On Sea Tide,painted Pictures of Sea Tide,and invented lotus-formed water clock,southward pointing cart,mile-recording drum cart,and leaning machine.更多还原
