【Abstract】 During the course of exploitation in oil reservoir and gas reservoir condensation water, formation water, especially drilling mud, acidizing liquid and fracturing fluid can result in water blocking. As a result, the permeability of reservoir would be decreased a lot. The formation mechanism, scale and prediction methods of water blocking are introduced, as well as the prevention and relief methods of water blocking.
