目标多自由度Mean Shift序列图像跟踪算法
Making Tracking of Object in Image Sequences Steady despite Complex Movement of Objects
【摘要】 现有的M ean Sh ift跟踪方法使用单一半径参数来描述目标大小变化,每个目标仅有位置和尺寸两个自由度,因而不能适应复杂的目标运动情况。文中提出新的M ean Sh ift跟踪方法,该方法引入带宽矩阵来描述目标尺寸,能够在水平和垂直两个方向上独立描述目标大小变化,并加入目标倾角,使得目标旋转运动得以很好描述。实验表明,该算法能够准确跟踪序列图像中的任意复杂运动,尤其对目标的缩放、旋转运动有良好的适应性。
【Abstract】 The full paper begins with an analysis of the shortcomings of existing methods.We aim to overcome these shortcomings with our improved mean shift algorithm in which we introduce two distinguishing features: the bandwidth matrix and the target angle.We first introduce the bandwidth matrix mean shift procedure.Then we describe the target by introducing the target rectangle, which provides two position coordinates of the centre point,the horizontal axis,the vertical axis and the target angle,altogether five degrees of freedom.Target angle is used to accommodate the rotation of objects(this accommodation was not provided by past researchers) while the two axes determine the size in two independent directions.The dissimilarity between the target′s color distribution and the target candidates is expressed by the metric derived from the Bhattacharyya coefficients.Experiments with several real world′s sequences indicate our new method’s capability to adapt to any combinations of the target’s rotation,zooming and translation.With better description of the object it achieves much better precision.The comparison of computational burden with two existing methods demonstrates the possibility to apply our algorithm in real time.
