【Abstract】 China’s modern historical fiction has peculiar time tense. Different from classical historical fiction, it omits historical time and narrates old stories in present tense. Through present tense, modern historical fiction can focus on writers’ reality concerns, appear such forms of the texts, recalling present tense and the known results, thus making the same stories having different meanings.
