【Abstract】 This article deals with the following four linguistic topics: motivation, transparency, polysemy, and semantic copying (or duplication), each forming a section. The first section illustrates the relation between the external and internal motivations, and the ecology within language after the number of morphemes has reached the saturation point. The second discusses the factors that affect transparency, in terms of which a comparison is made between different types of words. The third talks about polysemy and its relation to homonymy, etc. The last section introduces semantic copying (or duplication), an encoding mechanism that can be employed to increase transparency and avoid ambiguity.更多还原
