【Abstract】 The paper introduces the basic concept and architecture of Web Service and ASP.NET. It puts forward a new GIS architecture to resolve the problem of data share existing in traditional GIS and predigests the process of GIS developing. It uses ADO.net to access distributed and heterogeneous data source, the data processing module is sealed in Web Service, interface is provided to application.
