【Abstract】 The visualization of scattered data has been widely used in many science and engineering fields. This paper reviews the history of the development of technique for visualization of scattered data. Based on that summarization, we analyze the existed scattered data interpolation and fitting methods, then generalize the active areas of the research on visualization of scattered data recent years.
