【Abstract】 Comprehensive researches have been carried out widely on the contrastive study and translation of cohesive devices, mainly in short texts or texts of science, but few in novels. Based on the data of the modern Chinese novel “Kong Yi-ji” and its English translation, the author will make a detailed analysis of the differences of some cohesive devices in the two languages and propose its translation strategies.
