【Abstract】 This paper mainly introduces the process of designing the ancient atlases. Under the guidance of designing descriptive metadata standards especially for digital objects, the paper analyzes various elements and complex relationship among the atlases for properly selecting the descriptive units. Finally, element sets are listed and peculiar elements for describing ancient atlases are illustrated. Then the application of the metadata and describing elements are described in this paper with examples.更多还原
