【Abstract】 In the web-based environment, constant conflicts are emerging between unlimited users needs and limited library services.To solve this problem and meet the new requirements, "subject librarians" have appeared to provide readers cross-departmental and in-ter-disciplinary first-class services. As far as the present status of the libraries in China is concerned, the paper suggested that it is nec-essary to carry out the "subject librarians system" in China. Furthermore, the paper also points out that responsibilities that subject li-brarians should take also need to be clarified while constructing this system.更多还原
