【Abstract】 Economic benefit is the key to develop oil/gas fields. To judge if the development of the oil/gas field is effective, it is a basic criterion to guarantee paying back the investment. According to the statistics of investments and costs for a few deep gas reservoirs of Zhongyuan oilfield in many years, with economically break-even criterion, based on the current standards of economic management for petroleum industry, the economic reserves controlled by single well are determined for deep gas reservoirs.
