【Abstract】 A super performance additive package for railroad locomotive gear oils was prepared based on a newly self-developed additive, T350. Test results showed that the prepared gear oil additive package having similar properties with the imported gear oil additive package exhibited superior thermal oxidation stability as well as good extreme pressure antiwear, antirust and anticorrosion performance. With a dosage of 4.2%, said additive package was used to formulate low temperature locomotive gear oil. The performance evaluation results showed that in comparison with the same type of imported gear oil, the formulated gear oil met the quality specifications of the imported gear oil, and its extreme pressure antiwear, antirust and anticorrosion performance was even better.更多还原
