【摘要】 阿新是美国著名华裔女作家汤亭亭的小说《孙行者》中的主人公。阿新这一反传统的华裔形象融合了中美两种文化的特征,在确认自身的美国人身份时,他对美国主流社会对东方文化和东方人存在的偏见与排斥提出了质疑。但是,作者塑造阿新形象的意图不在于彰显中美文化间的对立与冲突,暴露矛盾进而解决矛盾,最终实现两种文化的交融与平等共处才是作者的愿望。更多还原

【Abstract】 Ah Sing is the hero of the novel Tripmaster Monkey—His Fake Book written by the famous Chinese-American woman writer Maxine Hong Kingston. As a anti-traditional Chinese American, his character shows the combination of both Chinese and American cultural traits. To identify his identity as an American, he oppugns the mainstream of American society for their bias and ostracizing attitude towards the orient. But it is not the aim of the author to evidently display the conflict between the Chinese culture and the American culture. Instead, by exposing and then settling the conflict, the author aims at blending the two cultures and having them equally coexisted.更多还原
