【Abstract】 Focusing on the hot issue that most academic journals seek a page fee, this article uses some simplified economic models to illustrate how both the contributors and the journals make their decisions with some hypotheses. The key to the decision-making of the two competitors lies in their comparison of the costs and the profits. The article also discusses the various side effects in our society which results from the seeking of a page fee and points out that more attention should be paid to those, although at present the journals have little choice but to ask for a page fee from the contributors under the condition of the market economy.更多还原
